Nachdem der All Sänger Chad Price wohl ab uns zu ein bisschen Langeweile hatte, da seine Bandkollegen bekanntlich hin und wieder noch mit den Descendents unterwegs sind und zu den erfolgreichsten Produzenten in Sachen Punkrock gehören, hat er zusammen mit ein paar Kollegen von Armchair Martian und den Nobodys noch ein Seitenprojekt gegründet und zwar Drag the River. Musikalisch geht es aber in eine komplett andere Richtung, denn sie bieten eher schnellen Countryrock, wie er wohl auch aus Nashville kommen könnte.

Die 17 Songs wurden vor gut einem Jahr bei einer Show in ihrer Heimat Fort Collins aufgezeichnet und die Qualität ist verdammt gut und ich wage mal zu behaupten, dass die Songs durch die Liveatmosphäre sogar noch besser kommen, als die Studioversionen. Neben einer ganze Reihe eigener Songs sind auch einige Cover enthalten bei denen ihre Punkwurzeln durchscheinen, so nehmen sie sich z.B. "Hybrid Moments" von den Misfits vor oder "Jig" von Armchair Martian. Scheint so als ob alles was Chad Price macht, gut macht und wer mal Lust auf Country hat, liegt bei ihnen verdammt richtig. Für den nächsten Februar darf man übrigens auch mit einer Europatour rechnen.
